As Garuda di Dadaku officially premieres on June 11, audiences across Indonesia are finally witnessing the result of a large-scale animation production that brought together hundreds of artists, multiple studios, and years of creative collaboration.
For Leomotions, however, the journey began long before the film reached the screen.
From production initiation and strategic planning to full-scale execution and final delivery, Leomotions played a significant role in helping shape the production behind one of Indonesia's newest animated feature films.
A National-Scale Animation Production
Produced by the team behind Indonesia's growing animation ecosystem, Garuda di Dadaku represents a major collaborative effort involving multiple animation studios and hundreds of animation professionals across the country.
The project brought together approximately 17 animation studios and around 500 artists working across different production disciplines, demonstrating the increasing maturity and capability of Indonesia's animation industry.
For productions of this scale, success depends not only on creative execution but also on production strategy, workflow design, quality benchmarks, and long-term coordination.
This is where Leomotions became involved.

Joining the Project Before Production Started
Unlike many animation vendors that enter a project after production begins, Leomotions was involved much earlier.
In November 2024, Leomotions joined the project during its initiation phase, contributing to strategic production discussions and helping establish foundational production benchmarks.
At this stage, the focus was not only on animation output but on building a sustainable production framework capable of supporting a feature-length animated film.
The early involvement allowed the team to contribute to:
Production strategy
Workflow planning
Quality benchmark development
Production readiness
Cross-team coordination planning
This strategic phase became an important foundation for the production journey that followed.

Collaborating with the Creative Leaders Behind Garuda di Dadaku
Leomotions joined Garuda di Dadaku in November 2024, during the project's initiation phase, working closely with the teams at KAWI Animation and BASE Entertainment to support strategic production planning and establish production benchmarks before full-scale execution began. The film itself is directed by Ronny Gani and produced by BASE Entertainment and KAWI Animation, with Dewi Rosma as Line Producer.

As production progressed from March 2025 to May 2026, Leomotions deployed a team of approx 60 artists contributing across multiple departments, including 3D Assets Creation, Animation, Lighting, Rendering & Compositing (LRC), and Visual Effects (VFX). Beyond execution, the project required continuous collaboration with creative and production leadership to ensure quality consistency, production efficiency, and alignment with the film's creative vision.
Leomotions' contribution extended beyond the feature film itself. The studio was entrusted with delivering several key public-facing milestones of the project, including the first look reveal, first official trailer, official poster trailer, and the final feature film production. This involvement reflects the confidence placed in Leomotions to help shape not only the production pipeline but also some of the most important materials that introduced Garuda di Dadaku to audiences.
Working within a multi-studio ecosystem involving hundreds of artists and numerous animation partners, Garuda di Dadaku became one of Leomotions' most significant large-scale feature animation collaborations to date. The experience further strengthened the studio's capability to support feature-length productions from early production strategy through final delivery.
More Than a Single Project
While Garuda di Dadaku represents an important milestone, it is part of a much longer journey for Leomotions within Indonesia's animation industry. Over the years, Leomotions has contributed to several well-known animated productions, including:
Jumbo
Adit Sopo Jarwo
Nussa
Tendangan Halilintar
Petualangan Paddle Pop: GameOn!
Most notably, Jumbo became a landmark achievement for Indonesian animation and one of the country's most successful animated feature films.
These experiences have enabled Leomotions to continuously strengthen its capabilities in large-scale production environments while working alongside some of Indonesia's leading animation creators.
